Knitting in public

Blimey, last week was busy.

The lovely This is Knit organised a scavenger hunt in honour of world wide knit in public day. We had a week to collect a series of photographs featuring our knitting and the flyer for the competition. Many points to be gained, and we all know what points mean, don’t we? (for those of you not from the UK, the answer is prizes)

I met a lot of the challenges, but I had to go to Bulgaria from very early Thursday morning until very late Saturday night, which meant my time was limited, and I just wasn’t able to complete them all. I had the offer of a radio interview about the event, but it would have been on Friday morning, and there was just no way around it, I was in a different country. 50 potential points lost. I saw a beautiful sunset from the plane last night, but getting my needles through Frankfurt airport was too risky, so I didn’t have my knitting with me. Arg. More points gone.
I had heaps of fun collecting the photos that I did get though, including running about the Phoenix park in the rain getting wet toes when I should have been at home packing.
Thanks a million for organising it Lisa and Jacqui!

Aside from rushing around making a fool of myself with my camera and knitting, I’ve travelled a lot, worked a lot, and said goodbye to a good friend. It’s been an emotional week.
