I’m half way done. Owl delivering my book didn’t arrive until 1 o’clock yesterday and I had to go out at 1:30, so not much reading time yesterday. It’s very good.
Holy cow! I haven’t even bought it yet. I’m too afraid of it all being over, I’m trying to prolong it as long as possible. I must sound like a headcase.
I finished mine last night. Now I don’t quite know what to do with myself - I’m a little out of sorts to tell you the truth, not because of the story but because it is the end. On the other hand, I can get on with my life now. : )
Briana and Melanie - I know exactly what you mean.
I’ve never read the second half of the final Narnia book - as a kid I couldn’t deal with it being over so didn’t finish it.
Robin - it’s not *that* fast: I was really tired on Friday night so didn’t stay up as long as I would have liked, then I had knitting group on yesterday morning too. I even stopped for a while to do other things :-)
Oh my….you’re speedy.
Wondering if I need to buy 2 copies so that Daughter-Kate and I won’t get in each other’s way while reading. I know once I get started it’ll be hard to let it out of my hands for her to read and vice versa. ‘Sorry, kids, not cooking dinner right now. I’m at a really good spot!’
I’m a horrible mother…
Ha! I left a nightclub on Friday night and got dragged down to the Borders bookshop in Fulham at 3am on the off chance they were still open and selling. They weren’t.
She got her copy the next morning though. Haven’t read ANY of the HP’s.
It’s funny to see the difference in the cover illustrations between the UK and US versions…. I finished mine on Saturday night. It was really well done, and I was totally sucked in. Also didn’t want to hit spoilers online. :) I hate spoilers! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!
I read the wikipedia version too! for some reason it never bothers me if/when I find out the “secrets” to a book or movie plot before seeing/reading it. (But of course I’ll stay silent for other peoples’ benefit!)
Interesting HP note for you - Canada gets the English version of HP, not the US version… artwork, spellings, word choices and all. Never did figure out why though.
I so love the cover!!!!!! yours is so much better than our in the states.
I actually found your blog through nutmeg knitter. I am kind of working on something for her, and I have something to email to you, if you could email me at elizabeth.holbrook@gmail.com that ould be wonderful. I am only on page 200 myself, work is not allowing me to enjoy the book yet.
WOW! Is that a record?

I read the plot synopsis on Wikipedia. It was quite rewarding. :)

Just getting through the first 100 pages. May need to reread the first chapter. Cover looks interesting!

Harry becomes the Headmaster of Hogwarts, gets a new broomstick and wand, learns three new spells, expels something evil and lives happily ever after.
The end.
