Back soon

Posted by Teaandcakes on Jun 06 2007 | General Ramblings

Back in Dublin.
Off again early tomorrow (for work).
Have some pics to post, a FO, some negative sock knitting, poo coffee and a burnt pier.

Will hopefully make it along to World Wide Knit in Public Day on Saturday, and will be back in the blogosphere shortly afterwards.

  1. I’m having so much trouble understanding that third sentence, in there. What’s a “FO?” What’s
“negative sock knitting?” What’s “poo coffee?” A “burnt pier?” I’m actually able to envision that last one … can guess on the two before that … but a FO? No clue.

I have no need to know what poo coffee is, thanks.

  3. I’m guessing that it’s one of those alternative health things. You know, something your naturopath would tell you could cure everything from gout to hangnails? Unfortunately, Linus, it involves brewing a pot of really strong coffee, letting it cool, and… [the universe has drawn a curtain over this scene]

THIS IS WHY THE UNIVERSE IS WRONG AND MUST BE CHANGED.

  5. The poo coffee could refer to:

Coffee enemas: a popular quack remedy endorsed by Prince Charles no less.

That coffee made from beans that have been through the digestive system of a civet cat and is unaccountably considered a delicacy in Indonesia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kopi_Luwak

The universe is indeed wrong. I’m hoping God releases version 2 soon or at least some kind of service pack.

  6. You see, I was hoping to avoid both of those things, Kesey. To be honest, though, I hadn’t thought about the civet cats for quite some time. :)

  7. to david:
“fo”, in a knitting/crafty blog, usually means “finished object” like a sock or a scarf or something.
