Tea Drinking

Over at the Knitter’s Tea Swap blog, Suzie has asked us “Where’s your favourite place to enjoy a cup of tea?”

I’m over in England at the moment, down in Sussex. Just back from walking the dog on the beach. Today we popped to Arundel and Chichester, and in Chichester we stopped for a lovely lunch at the St Martins Organic Tea Rooms, and if I lived nearby I think that this would be one of my favourite paces to enjoy a cup of tea. Inside where it’s dark and cosy by the fire in the winter, or, like today, outside in the sun in the beautiful garden (which I totally forgot to photograph so go to their website to see).

A definitive favourite place is hard to pin down. My sofa would have to be up there on the list. It’s big and red and comfy and a great place to rest with a cuppa. Out on the patio on a sunny afternoon would also need to be on the list. Hmmm, how about cafes? Well, I think The Curved Street cafe in Temple Bar, where we meet for knitting, is now one of my favourites. I’m fond of Busyfeet and Cocos too.

I have a few more days to decide though, we’ll see.

Oh, sign ups are open for the Knitter’s Virtual Vacation Swap – I won’t be taking part as my summer’s going to be very busy, but it looks great, so head on over there to check it out.

In knitting news I’ve discovered a mistake in my Jaywalkers and I’m going to have to rip back. I’m not happy, but it’s the only thing I brought with me to England, so I have no choice but to suck it up and get on with it.
