Knitter’s Treat Exchange Package!

Posted by Teaandcakes on May 15 2007 | Swaps and Exchanges

This morning I was able to run to the post office before work to collect a very exciting box:

Inside were all sorts of wonderful goodies, all just for me!

There’s some Misti Alpaca lace yarn in a lovely bright red, some green Alpaca with a twist Highlander which is sooo soft and yummy, three types of tea (from Adagio and Teavana) that I’ll be sampling soon, some red bean jelly sweets which look and feel really interesting and I have to admit to being a tiny bit apprehensive about trying, some wonderful smelling soaps (a ginger lime one and a lavender foot scrub) - both of which I’ll be using in my bath later, a solid chocolate easter bunny (solid! not hollow!), a copy of Craft magazine, and best of all, these:

Yep, Tea and Cakes stitch markers, made by my treater herself! These are so fabulous, I just love them to pieces.

My treater was Melissa, and she did a fantastic job of treating me! I feel so spoiled! Thanks a million Melissa :-)

  1. Yummy stitch markers. Now you will always have your tea and biscuits when you knit. I love Teavana. And I will have to go there for the next round. Enjoy your yarns!!!

  2. Oh, lovely! I checked out Melissa’s blog and saw those stitch markers a few days ago. They couldn’t go to a more welcoming home :).

Hello: What a lovely blog you have. Very pretty and I like your entries. I found you because I did a google search on yarn + Dublin, IRE. I am a US knitter traveling there this summer and I am trying to find a yarn shop in Dublin. Do you know Dublin? Are there any? I’m thinking there’s got to be, but I really don’t know. I’m sorry if it’s too weird to write this in your comments–I would normally write an email, but I couldn’t find a link for yours. If you get a chance I’d love to know anything you can tell me about Knitting and a shop (or 2?) in Dublin. You can use the email address that I used for loggin in. And I’m bookmarking your site! Thanks!

  5. [...] If so you should first go and have a look at Tea And Cakes - she just got her Knitters Treat Exchange Parcel and got some lovely little pressies. As is usually the way with me, when someone gets a nice little parcel and mentions the person that sent it I click on that person. [...]

  6. Yay! I’m so glad you liked it, especially the markers. The red bean jellies are a bit sticky and mostly sweet. I think I’d be apprehensive as well if I hadn’t grown up on them. :D

  8. Oh phew, I was dying to point you the way to those stitch markers but as I knew who your treater was, I couldn’t!! I knew they would be a big hit with you though, I must admit, they look really delicious, almost as if you could eat them. Well done Melissa!
