I just replenished my "stash" of chocolate at home last night. Milk chocolate seems to make me rapacious, and I want to eat more all day, but dark chocolate is a treat I can have in small (for me, ha ha) amounts and be OK.

Hooray for the good medicinal benefits!

And "fair trade" and/or "organic" is so the way to go. Woo!

Yep - 3 oz lowers blood pressure just as well as beta blockers do, at least that's the thing that floats around every so often (saw it in the paper just the other day). Of course, nobody tells you just how to go about consuming that dosage (like, every day, twice a day, what?), although they will tell you that it needs to be dark chocolate, not milk chocolate.

Just don't do the research to find out what kind of treatment the "workers" receive on the cacao plantations, as it'll spoil your treat big-time.

I try to make sure that I have some chocolate every day. And now that it's "officially" good for you, you can even claim that you are eating it for medicinal purposes ... :-)
