Things I Learned Today
In the order that I discovered them.
1. That my fringe was annoying me and needed cutting.
2. That cutting my fringe myself leaves my hair looking like Monica in that episode of Friends where Phoebe cuts her hair like Dudley Moore.
3. Dudley Moore hair means I can see without hair in my face, so for now, I don’t really mind.
4. Curved Street cafe is a lovely place to knit, with giant sandwiches, delicious cakes, lovely hot drinks, and friendly staff who, while they seemed a little daunted by a group of 12 people, were perfectly happy about and interested in our knitting.
5. None of the three fabric shops in Dublin sell brushed cotton flannel.
6. Linus buys great holiday presents.
7. Using my teeth to open the shrink wrapping around a bath bomb is not the best idea.
Now I’m going to watch Shaun of the Dead, eat chocolate and knit. Seriously, is that not a great way to spend the evening?

Ah, very wise things indeed, Grasshopper.
Missed the gang at the new venue, but looking forward to the next gathering…..which will be when? Or are we going to have a knitting contingent at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade?

I’ve always liked Dudley Moore’s hair, though I’m not sure it would suit you. Good news on the venue. Can’t wait to meet up there the next time.

Every time I get my hair cut, I solemnly take the pledge not to cut my own fringe – then, without fail…. but I like to kid myself on that I do a not too ban job of it, and after all, I don’t have to look at it all day ;0)

Ah yes… the Dudley Moore/Demi Moore — what’s the difference?
Sounds like a lovely day and a lovely evening plan.

Oh yeah Shaun of the Dead, love that film, and yes I was on the sofa watching it also, minus the chocolate but with beer in tow instead..
