Hob Nob Selection

Posted by Teaandcakes on Nov 17 2006 | Delicious Things

The great thing about guests is that there’s a reason to buy nice biscuits. Guests that bring nice biscuits with them make things even better. And when those guests bring a new variety of the same sort of biscuit with them, you know you’re in for a good time.

What we have there are regular hobnobs, chocolate cream hobnobs, and orange chocolate hobnobs. I’d be hard pushed to pick a favourite. The regular ones are classics, delicious and oaty. The chocolate creams combine some of my favourite things: cream centered biscuits and hob nobs. The orange chocolate ones are a delicious twist on a classic. I’m always happy when orange chocolate is applied to something I love, and this is no exception.

Today we’ve been knitting, drinking tea, and eating hobnobs. Life is good.

  2. I pay $4.99 for a pack of hobnobs at Cost Plus. I only have access to two, plain and with choc covering. Thanks for rubbing it in that there are more out there…

  3. Is it hobnobs that can come with a caramel under coating or am I mixing them up with caramel digestives?

  4. Am I a HobNob fan? Not really. But I do appreciate the fact that you make it a point to enjoy things (and blog about them) that might otherwise go unnoticed. And you’re right, it IS the little things that make life enjoyable….

  5. Sara - Those are caramel digestives that you’re thinking of. I’m not actually a fan of them - digestives are best dunked in tea, and with the caramel ones the chocolate melts off and the biscuit goes nicely soggy, but the caramel stays resolutely solid, and it’s just all wrong.
