Sorry for no posts. Migraine. Pills not working. €40 down the drain. It’s going now, after 27 hours of no reading, writing, or knitting. Not only are they painful, they’re frustrating and boring. Anyway, the feeling when it goes is great, so I have that to look forward to tomorrow.

  1. Right, so it certainly couldn’t be the Nano pressure could it? Or perhaps crocheting is taking its toll? Or overstimulation at the RDS? Very sorry to hear of your frustration and pain.

  2. I have migraines and what I started to take daily is a Inderol. It’s heart medication, but the side effect of it is no migraines- so now that’s what it is prescribed for.

  4. also fellow migraneur. I’m on no meds at the moment due to other medical reasons, which can be scary…however, I also take propranolol (inderol) and have found it works for me – course, as you’ll know, it won’t work for everyone.

  5. So sorry to hear about the migranes Isobel.
I’d be very cautious about taking Propanolol though for your migraine, it is designed to lower blood pressure (which could be why it helps migraine)and as a result lowers your heart rate also.Other factors in it also. Take a hot bath when you next get one, it opens up blood vessels in your lower limbs which draws the blood away from the head and may help. My Uncle, who’s a doctor, swears by it.

HI! Just a note. I had bad migraines for years and took Maxalt, until one day my blood pressure skyrocketed. I am just starting on Inderol. So far, no headaches, which is a blessing. Does anyone know of any side effects?
