Tea at stitching group

Posted by Teaandcakes on Jan 14 2006 | Crafty things, Delicious Things

This is what I thought was green tea, in the Library Bar at the central hotel. When I drank it, it turned out to be peppermint tea. It was nice though, and I was feeling a touch queasy, so it was quite a fortuntate error (peppermint tea helps with nausea).

I was there meeting other people who knit, which was really lovely, and not nearly as scary as I was expecting. I’ll be going again. It’s a shame they only meet monthly, and on a weekend. There are two other groups in Dublin, but I can’t make it to either of them unfortunately, which is a little frustrating.

I know what you mean about the scary aspect of it, I was feeling aprehensive also, but enjoyed the meeting! Are you able to make the next meeting? Started on any curley wurleys yet!

I should be able to make the next meeting, I’m kind of looking forward to it. I’ve started on a curley wurley scarf, but my needles aren’t long enough and my only big enough circulars are making a bag at the moment, so I’ve just been bold and ordered some addi turbo circulars from http://www.getknitted.com - and they have Debbie Bliss Maya on sale, so I had to order some of that, but I was good and only ordered one skein.

I’ll have to check out that site later, its blocked at work. I think circulars are the best to use for curleys as they can turn out to be heavy and the circ’s ease that a bit. Knit it straight though, don’t join it!
