Laptop Clubs
So, our hotel is next door to an erm, ‘gentleman’s club’. That’s ok, it’s on a really busy street, and we’re tucked up in bed well before things get going.
It was the taxi driver that brought up from the airport that alerted us to it. He was a stereotypical taxi driver, warning up about getting ripped off by his opponents, etc etc. The thing was, if kept referring to lap dancing clubs as laptop clubs, which just gave me visions of nightclubs with free wifi, and geeks sitting around playing world of warcraft and reading boing boing with no naked ladies in sight. Maybe stringfellows wouldn’t have had to close down in dublin if they’d gone for that approach instead.

Laptop club…hee hee!
